The global fight against cybercrime needs a collaborative effort. This is why we created the Cybercrime Fighters Club, a forward-thinking project that creates a pathway for Group-IB to partner with industry peers to enhance knowledge sharing and jointly research emerging cyber threats. If you’ve done some exciting research into a cyber threat and have prepared materials that are fresh and insightful, Group-IB is here to help take your findings further and amplify them to a massive audience.

The Cybercrime Fighters Club is far more than just a guest posting initiative. It’s a truly cooperative operation that synthesizes your passion and skills with Group-IB’s sector-leading technological resources and the full power of our social media machine. By joining forces, your research has the potential to reach a much wider audience, which in turn, can make the internet a safer place.

Club Rules:

  1. Be smart and ensure that you aren’t uncovered by threat actors before you finish the research.
  2. Be tenacious. We don’t ever stop fighting cybercrime.
  3. Be principled in your efforts, if they are your calling.

Join us

We invite cybersecurity experts from any background or specialization to investigate adversaries together with the Group-IB team. If you have a fresh take on an interesting cybersecurity topic, whether it be new perspective on an ongoing attack, changes to the TTPs of known groups, new vulnerabilities, latest adversary infrastructure, or anything that you think might be of interest, send us your original and complete materials via the form below, and we will explore how we can activate our resources to help advance your investigation.

How will you evaluate my idea?

So, you have an almost-ready piece of content that you want Group-IB experts to review? Once we receive your research, we will allocate it to one of our teams, whether it be Threat Intelligence, Digital Forensics and Incident Response, or our High-Tech Cybercrime Investigators. Our units will review your findings and evaluate how our research capabilities could potentially further your investigation.

Our assessment criteria are as follows:

  • If the contributor has submitted original, interesting findings that are in a format ready for publication
  • Whether the topic is new and previously unreported
  • If the findings are valid and verifiable (yes we’ll check the attribution)
  • Whether the findings are original
  • Whether we can add value to your research

Note: We do not share your findings with other researchers without your explicit consent.

Where will the research be published?

Long-form content will be published on the Group-IB blog. Blog posts will contain your name, and our design teams will make sure the publication pops. All contributions will be given appropriate credit along with the full backing of our social media team on Group-IB’s Threat Intelligence Twitter page, where we regularly share our latest findings into threat actors’ TTPs and infrastructure, along with our other social media accounts.

What Group-IB can offer you

  • The use of our technologies for attribution and infrastructure research
  • Amplification of your contribution on our social media channels
  • The chance to leverage the sector-leading expertise of our analysts
  • The opportunity to share the joint research (with cool graphics!) on your social media account (Don’t forget the hashtags #LetsStopCybercrime #CybercrimeFightersClub #FightAgainstCybercrime)

What if we get the same ideas from different researchers?

The more the merrier! It could be the case that we receive two pieces of research on the same topic at the same time from different experts. In this case, we’ll act as coordinators of a joint blog that utilizes everyone’s insights.

Are there any restrictions to membership?

  • You’re not a blackhat and have never been one in the past.
  • The blog has not been published by other sources.

Questions?

If you have any questions or need further assistance, you can also reach out to our support team at blog@group-ib.com. They will be happy to guide you through the membership process and provide any additional information you may need. We look forward to welcoming you to the Cybercrime Fighters Club!
